Privacy and legal requests: legal@catchfire.run.
Email, optional display or race name, preferences, and authentication identifiers.
Race entries, routes, telemetry, precise GPS during active races, finish confidence, in-app results, and recaps.
Run pace, imported activities, optional heart-rate/cadence signals, and integrity review events. Apple Health evidence matching is not enabled in the default launch build. Saving workouts to Apple Health or Health Connect is described below.
Catchfire uses location for nearby race discovery, live route progress, finish detection, integrity review, and measuring the distance of a Just run. During an active race or Just run, Catchfire may continue collecting location while the app is in the background or the screen is locked if you grant permission. Just runs stay on your phone: Catchfire doesn't upload their location, time or distance.
We use data to operate races, discover nearby public races, calculate staggered starts, upload telemetry, detect finishes, verify integrity, notify users, save workouts and create workout files when you ask, provide support, and improve reliability.
If you choose to, Catchfire saves your finished races and Just runs to Apple Health as workouts. Each workout includes its time, distance, name and a one-line summary. A race's workout also includes the route and any heart rate Catchfire recorded during the race. When Apple Health has your weight, the workout includes an estimate of calories burned. Catchfire reads only your weight from Apple Health, on your iPhone, to make that estimate, and checks for workouts it saved itself so that it doesn't save a run twice.
Catchfire doesn't send Apple Health data to its servers, doesn't sell or share it, and doesn't use it for advertising or marketing. You can turn off Catchfire's access in the Health app or in Settings at any time. Workouts Catchfire saved stay in Apple Health until you delete them there.
Apple Health evidence matching for race integrity is not enabled. If Catchfire adds it later, it will ask for your permission first.
On Android, if you choose to, Catchfire saves your finished races and Just runs to Health Connect as exercises. Each exercise includes its time, distance, name and a one-line summary. A race's exercise also includes the route and any heart rate Catchfire recorded during the race. When you enter your weight in Catchfire, the exercise includes an estimate of calories burned. Catchfire only writes to Health Connect and never reads data from it. The weight you enter is kept on your phone and isn't sent to Catchfire.
Catchfire doesn't send Health Connect data to its servers, doesn't sell or share it, and doesn't use it for advertising or marketing. You can remove Catchfire's access in Health Connect at any time. Exercises Catchfire saved stay in Health Connect until you delete them there.
When you ask for one, Catchfire creates a FIT or GPX file of a finished race from its recording: time, GPS route, distance and any heart rate recorded. The file comes to your phone, and you choose where to save or share it, for example to upload it to Strava or Garmin Connect. Catchfire doesn't send the file to those services, and their privacy policies apply to what you upload.
Paid races, prizes, and payouts are disabled for the current free launch. Payment and payout data would only apply if those features are separately approved and enabled later.
